The leader of the People’s Party of Canada Maxime Bernier was in Saskatoon yesterday to deliver a speech during the Truth & BBQ event promoted by the local PPC Electoral District Associations. Mr. Bernier was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of more than 200 people who packed the Sutherland Hall for the event.
Before Maxime Bernier’s speech, the PPC official candidates for the Northern Saskatchewan region were introduced to the public. Mr. Bernier and the other PPC candidates delivered their speeches covering various issues currently being discussed in the country, and the party’s policies to creating a stronger Canada by putting its people first.
The candidates hosting the event, Guto Penteado, Mark Friesen, Isaac Hayes and Cody Payant were extremely happy with the event success and its results. “It was a great opportunity for the public to get to know Bernier, our party and what we stand for. During this event a lot of people have shown their confidence and enthusiasm by donating to our campaigns, becoming members and volunteers…” said Guto Penteado – PPC Saskatoon-University candidate.

The PPC Northern Saskatchewan candidates running in this fall’s Canadian federal election are Guto Penteado (Saskatoon-University), Mark Friesen (Saskatoon-Grasswood), Cody Payant (Carlton Trail-Eagle Creek), Isaac Hayes (Saskatoon-West), Kelly Day (Prince Albert), Jason MacInnis (Battlefords-Lloydminster), and Jerome Perrault (Desnethé-Missinippi-Churchill River).
The Truth & BBQ event was covered by the major media channels and hosted by the PPC Electoral District Associations of Saskatoon-University, Saskatoon-Grasswood, Saskatoon-West and Carlton Trail-Eagle Creek.
